XJ Keyless entry

I want to put an aftermarket keyless entry in my XJ. It's an SE model with power locks but no factory keyless option. I just want to lock and unlock the doors remotely; don't need an alarm or auto start etc.

Does anyone have a brand or model they like? I don't know much about this stuff and there are just a million brands to choose from. Thanks!

Look into the Python alarms and keyless entry they seem to be great quality

Selection is certainly not the issue. There appear to be lots of great brands out there. Who has one model in particular that they like to use?

That would be the XJ Master Key.

A couple weeks ago in the local news paper in the police blotter there was a thing that said the caller complained of having lost the key to their storage unit, then it said "caller advised to purchase a bolt cutter".

If you just want to unlock the doors without any bells & whistles, I bought the cheapest one I could find at the local auto parts store and used it for years with no problems. Might have been Audiovox. They're easy to install and you could go through about five of them for the price of the Python.
