XJ lower steering shaft install.

still not sure on this...the currie unit is a big chunk of change, and I'm not going to be running big tires at all.

The Currie is worth the money. You just need to justify the need/cost.

I was lucky to have gotten a decent tax refund last year, so it wasn't too hard for me.

Like I said, I've been chasing the wander problem ever since I put on my lift.

Perhaps I'll pull my steering shaft and see how it's put together or if there is anything wrong with it.

I tried (briefly) to find one on-line. Closest I came was entire column for over $400.

Thanks for posting this up BIGdaddy, gives me hope that there may yet be a cure for my sloppy steering.

Customers 97 XJ in driveway.. for the life of me I cannot find the set-screw or any bolt holding the intermediate shaft to the steering box. Does it just compress and slip off?

This looks different than my older XJ.. someone toss me a bone here..

Haven't looked at a late model XJ, sorry...don't know if they're different.

I'm sure you already asked, but Naxja is probably gonna have your answer.
