So my R6 was stolen.. No insurance, or at least theft that is. Looks like ill be getting something new. This idea started as I wanted something a little more practical for commuting Now I'm dreaming of a motorcycle to take on my cross country dream I have always wanted to do. Gas mileage is great. BMW dealerships I went to our one here in Baton Rouge yesterday. It was great, they let me test drive a F-650 and kinda made me test drive a r1200. First time on anything bigger than a yamaha r6. I went back today and took the F-650 out for another spin. This time I didn't come back for about an hour.
While Im still getting used to the SLOWER and more upright seating. Im really fixed on these F-650's. I am planning a trip from Louisiana to Washington sometime this september/october. Im not sure if this is a good idea yet as I have NO idea of the weather patters in the north west. Nor do I know what its like to ride in the cold. I can't decide wether to take a motorcycle or my Diesel Jetta. They will get similar gas mileage maybe 10-15mpg more on the bike. Id probably average 48-50mpg in the jetta and 55-65mpg on the bike. While gas mileage is a BIG factor, its actually minor because they both get good mileage. What im mostly concerned with is the ability to research and look up stuff about the area im in while I drive on my phone. I know I know driving on the phone blah blah. Ill be driving non stop except to sleep untill I get to colorado, unless I find cool stuff to check out on the way there.
Poorly written paragraph^.
What would you guys recommend.
