Yet another help find the right vehicle for me thread

I'll try and keep this brief. I'm getting rid of my daily driver 2005 F250 Powerstroke, and want an SUV (or truck I suppose) to use as a DD/light off-road/expedition vehicle.

Want list

$14k or less
As high MPG as possible without sacrificing the rest in this list
Good reliability. I'm not one who can fix stuff on the side of the road. I wish I was.
Must be able to comfortably sleep inside with gear still inside. (within reason)

As of right now I'm leaning toward a 97-00 Montero (not sport).

After talking with another member of this forum I'm now pretty sure this is what I'll get. My only hold out is the MPG. It has got to do better than my F250.
