Today, after 15 months my jeep returned from mexico.

Did you check to make sure there aren't drugs stashed somewhere the authorities might have missed? Empty shells? No booby traps wired up in there? Make sure they didn't shave down the splines in the rear differential to cause you have a failure so you go back down there, and Pow! "Hey Amigo. Thanks for bringing the truck back over. We need to borrow it again."

thanks for the advice stephanie. We'll see what the insurance company says, but I doubt I'll ever own it again.

so the deal is, is that the insurance has the pink and they want to send it to auction.

If we say that a 2004 LJ is worth about 12,000.00 right now, I guess salvage values could likely start around 6000.00.

At auction, with damage, needing a new vin and plates (it has none), I could see it going for $3-5k.

Any more info on the auction I am VERY interested if I can get it 3-4k. What kind of damage are we looking at here?
