Spring was in the air...Well, kind of...It was snowing as I packed the cruiser to head south for the weekend. Where to go? Zion...We love going down there in late winter! Few crowds, pleasant temperatures and just enough of a tease to let you know that Spring is coming.
This time was no different! We packed the gear and we were off. We enjoyed the lovely I-15 corridor drive. Well, not really...It sucks but one can make good time! Nothing like stopping at the petting zoo at Scipio. A must stop if you have a 4 year old!
We made decent time and the temps increased as descended 1600 feet to Zion.
Our first day involved a nice bike ride out to a ghost town south of Springdale. A ride I would recommend when it is not tourist season because you have a few miles of road riding on the highway. We found it pretty quiet!

Lilly liked going to school. Even though it wasn't in session; the building was well-preserved.

Not everyone made it out alive though!

The following day we played in the "park". Crazy to think that in the summer; thousands of people are running around this place. Today, not even a ranger to welcome us. The gate opened but no one there manning the station.

Lilly finding the relaxing way into the "park".

Playtime...Enjoy the sun and throw a rock in the water. Life is good!

The trip ended with me trying to find a treasure. A sign of the past...A granary in Zion Canyon? Really? Yeap, found it! What a view the ancient ones had looking up and down the canyon!

Good times in Southern Utah! Now, get out there!
