Ziplock Big Bags

Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know of a new product I found (at Costco actually). Ziploc is now making super large big bags which are going to come in real handy for me. They come in:

Xtra Large 2 ft. x 1.7 ft., 4 per box
XXtra Large 2 ft. x 2.7 ft., 3 per box

The bottoms are pleated so they are easy to fill up.

They are large enough to organize all kinds of things - you can easily fit a sleeping bag inside. The best part, it's cheap protection for things you want to keep clean and dry.

We used those large and extra large big ziploc bags on our trip to Alaska. Great for storing extra clothes (in case of water crossings that might be too deep):sombrero: We also stored extra food in them and muddy boots. Great idea, however, the ziploc seal across the top is a bit weak, you have to finesse the seal. We ordered ours through Cabela's.

+1 for the Big Bags. Great way to help organize clothes and other supplies in a slightly less than watertight soft top vehicle!

For the price, I don't think they can be beat. I wouldn't trust the zipper to use them continuously, but for stuff you don't need every single day they are great.

I found them on sale (two for one) at the supermarket one time and I stocked up. Wait for the sale or Costco for a good price.

Walmart carry's them also. They are GREAT!

We are bigtime fans of these as well. Primarily we keep our clothing in these bags... in case of water intrusion into the bed, the clothing stays dry.

We've had no problems with the zippers as yet... and we've reused them frequently. We are still on our first box of XL and XXL... still have some unused because of the reusability. Maybe we just got a really good run. =)
