Trailers are Scheuled for delivery

Congrat's to Sierra for getting ccfdcal & RFDGUY their trailers. Lets cross our fingers and hope that JeepJoe and Johnainny get their trailer by 6/15/12 as promised by Sierra.

CCFDCAL,

You got your trailer because YOU'RE IN THE SAME STATE!!!!!!!, only a couple hours from Gardnerville. There is a pattern here, locals or those who are within driving distance, Chris gets his orders too. In my opinion, it seems that the ones who are far away don't get the same service as the ones who are within driving distance.

More sunshine blowing from the peanut gallery, sheesh.

RFDGUY, no crack on you getting your trailer, we're all jealous.

More updates from Chris:

Got emails from Chris on Friday. My Fiamma F35 awning that he's had is being shipped up here FedEx.

"Spence,

Boxing up the awning this morning and will have a FedEx tracking here in a bit. I will also have the total refund amount that will be coming back to you. Have not sold your trailer yet, but once this AirForce check comes in for their trailers I will just refund the trailer if I have not sold it yet."

Then later:

"You paid $8,400 deposit I'm waiting for the up dated shipping amount to ship the tent to you then I will have a total amount for refund minus a small percent for Credit card fee's I will have the here in a bit."

My reply back:

"Chris,

Subtract the cost to ship the awning to me, I got that. Also, I'll pay the shipping on the Safari to get to me as well. Subtract that from the remaining balance as well.

Hey man, I know your swamped and I really, sincerely wish you ALL the BEST. I'm sure you will make it through these bumpy times, you have a nitch product that people in the expo community are excited about. It's not A/T glam, it's your simple bombproof design that has people raving. And the ones who've gotten your trailer have all been extremely impressed. Just please take the time to talk to the ones who've paid and are waiting. If you're behind on someone's order, just let them know. If they have a problem with it....F 'em! 90% of the people you talk you regarding a late order will be COMPLETELY understanding......everyone's pulling for you and your business. The other 10 percent, you don't want as a customer anyway. Just a little update goes a very long way, man.
My pulling out has NOTHING to do with the status of my order. If it wasn't for a huge business venture, a child with some health issues and a damn dog that I just spent $2Gs with repairing a Miniscus tear in her knee, I'd be here still. But **** happens. You're understanding is very cool and I greatly appreciate it and like I've said, when I do have all the cushion to be able to get another trailer, you're going to build it for me.

If you want, I can throw up an ad on some sites advertising for a mid-production Gen 2 "special order box". Maybe someone will want to pick up my spot, like we talked about. If you can, please let me know your thoughts on this and if you have another idea that as well. Your FB page would probably get it picked up by one of your followers if you put in up there For Sale. Just a thought.

Take care man. You're got a helluva product, keep with it."

So at this time, I know my awning is on the way and that he intends to do right by sending the Maggiolina. Will keep this updated as Mike from Autohome told me Chris promised that payment was being sent when they spoke last week.

I'm putting a feeler out in the classified section for the Gen 2 box I was having made. I have no idea what the status of this trailer is in as far as production, but someone wanting to get in line here for a custom size Gen 2 can take my spot. It was ordered in March 12 and was told it was going to be finished beginning of June, so I can't be TOO far down the list, but I'm not the one who can answer that for certainty. Either way, this trailer is closer to the top off the order list than someone wanting to order one today.

So here's what have I learned: 1. My Fiamma's on the way 2. Autohome knows about the SNAFU down at Sierra and Chris has communicated that it'll be getting shipped out 3. Chris intends to issue a refund for the balance - shipping the awning and Maggiolina.

Chris got awarded a production contract from the USAF for a communication trailer. I've been told the test trailer(S) is/are to be completed now or soon, so I'm assuming that could have an effect on other's orders, but again I'm not the one who can answer that.

That's just a damn shame...no one deserves to be treated like that.

Hopefully you'll get a response soon so you can get out and enjoy it.

Good news! If you have time please share the pictures with all of the trailer junkies here!!

Chris sent my Fiamma awning up from Nevada. Got it on Monday or Tuesday, I was out of town and just got home.

******I'm putting this up on the FS thread for the Gen 2 trailer in trailer classifieds, but if you or someone happens to buy this trailer from Chris, I NEED TO KNOW too. You'd be doing me a huge favor if I could verify that someone took it over.

It's been communicated by Sierra4x4 Trailers that my tent would be going out this week. We shall see.

Glad I read this..

I was pretty interested in Sierra. Guess I'll spend the six months of frustration grinding welds instead of begging for info. Bummer, seems like a great product, but without customer service, you don't have customers. thanks guys, without this thread, there'd be another guy wondering when he'd get what he paid for. Oh and for the record, yes Im a noob here, who came here doing research on the ethics of a local trailer builder before I made an inquiry.

Glad I read this. I dont have ten grand to tie up for six months, nor the desire to buy a bunch of headache with it.

Johnainny,

Glad to see you are posting the positive side of the this story, and it sounds like maybe Chris is digging out. Hopefully all will get their trailers and be very impressed with them.

I kinda quit reading this thread, almost like watching the nitely news, nothing but negatives, clad to see it changing.

Hey man, who do you think is causing the negatives. Forum member are simply reporting real life non-response experiences from Sierra4x4.

It is what it is. This stuff can't be made up. No other business would dare perform in this fashion. Folks need to get a clue when it comes to bad customer service and lack of product delivery when full payment has been made.

I started this tread to get yours and other forum members help to get Joe his Trailer. As of today, he still doesn't have his trailer and hasn't got one picture of it sent to him. He ordered it in October 2011. A 2000 sq foot house takes 8 to 10 month to build, but a trailer?? no way. I give it the smell test and its not good.

I talked to Joe a couple of hours ago and he said he is going to call Chris tomorrow and get a delivery date for his trailer.

I hope Joe will post something and I hope it truly is good news for Sierra and those waiting for their trailers.

For those who have received your trailer, ejoy the summer with it, you deserve it.
