It was too good a deal to pass up on craigslist. High mileage, rough interior, worn engine...perfect for a crawler! My brother and I have been tossing around the idea of an rrc on 37s with lockers, underdrive, the works. She will definitely keep us busy this winter!

I did some research and its actually pretty rare. Its a '92 County LSE, one of 400 made. http://www.rangerovers.net/modelspecs/1992.html#specialKinda cool.
Here she is posing with my brothers 95 lwb.

Treatments? You mean codependant I believe ;-0
I saw that look in her eye with the first drive- she will be taking the reins of the dedicated wheeler!!

They might be SEs, but not LSEs. The LSE is the Eurpean designation for what was badge the LWB in the US. They look better in the original 100" wheel base, I think, and are much better off road. Those are good looking examples, anyway. Nice wheels on your new one - they were limited to the LSE, CSK and a handful of other limited edition vehicles like the 90SV. Good luck with them!

I started trying to diagnose the truck yesterday, starting with the fuel system. I pulled the fuel pump housing after confirming it wasn't a bad fuse and no fuel was getting to the filter. The pump seemed like it was toast when I tested it on the battery, just barely gurgling. I think ethanol has messed up the rubber pad on the bottom of the pump, causing it to gum up. Fortunately I found a list of non-Rover fuel pumps (the rover pump was a factory direct order and 4x as expensive as the one I purchased). Here's the list:

Airtex E3270
Airtex 3240
Borg Warner P171E
Borg Warner P39
AC Delco EP376

Only the first one was available locally so I will be trying it tonight.

Actually, we had LSEs here in the US, and they were SWB. I've seen one in person.

how are the fuel pump relays?

Dead. The fuel pump won't run from the factory wiring harness so I spent a while trying to find the golden relay. After a while I stopped trying to diagnose relays to hear her run.

I currently have a spare battery hooked up to the fuel pump trying to figure out why the engine will only run on starter fluid...

0-2 today

They are sneaky aren't they? This one is 85K miles and still has its air suspension.

I have a blue one too (beater, camping - LWB is great for sleeping in - & winter DD - but with 57K miles), will post a pic when I find one.

Well, that's just weird... the L of LSE was for "long" - apart from the the air suspension, they were the same as the SEs (which also picked up the EAS soon after). Apart from the Autobiography, the SE was the highest spec. I wonder if they ran out of SE badges and put on excess stock LSE badges as LR ran down the supplies towards the endo of production?
