My restoration to a Disco Trek Discovery

I don't believe you've even come close to experiencing the amount of fun you'll have with this truck when it's finished!

Zack that is precisely why I bought it. I have always wanted a Discovery after selling my 1976 CJ5 Jeep that I owned many moons ago. I had some of my best memories offroading in N. Georgia, TN and the Carolinas back in the late 70s and early 80s. Now that I have a kid, I want her to experience the same fun factor offroading and camping that I had as a child and teenager. Granted, I probably won't have the same motivation as I did those days with my Jeep..to see if I can get it stuck! It of course the jeep could be washed out and we all know Discoverys can and will get stuck! LOL

In an effort to get her to Bill, we went ahead and installed the incorrect silver hood letters (supplier issue, but remedied), and had duplicate numbers made so David has a spare set should he wish to nix them. Hope to run by RTE to put them on today- weather cooperating...
She is already keeping pretty good company all around- a little visit with a distant cousin before her departure:

Update 3/22 the right hood logo color and some identification #5 and a repowdercoated roofrack with 6th wheel/tire and the factory Warn lights!

Ok so RTE Bill has installed the bumpers , lights, winch, new Viking Synth winch line and here are several pics.
Transfer case is getting resealed as well as the Steering Box.....Then install the OLD MAN EMU Steering stabilizer and RTE skid plate and ..TReK #5 should be completed this week....
As I expected the bumpers have slightly lowered the stance .... She looks sweet!

Detail of rear bumper light protectors...I was worried I would hate these but they came out nice and are
removable. The hitch is built in with connector built in as well. I will add 3M grip tape to the top of the rear bumper for protection and better traction.
