Non-US Spec Accessory Sources (GX470)

No, it's not as exotic as it sounds. In my quest to get back into trail exploration with our move back west, I'm now considering a GX470 as a build platform. I see several folks have have done just that here, Mud and the 120 Forum. My only concern is sourcing items for a Prado that aren't normally stocked here. Just curious if ARB is open to (or maybe even stocks) bullbars, snorkels and skid plates for Prados in the US intended for the GX.

I'd really like an ARB bullbar but I like the Ironman Commercial bar as well. How readily available are these here in the States? Just for funzies, here is the route I would take if I opt for a GX over an LX/100 Series:

Bullbar
OME coils/shocks up front, MetalTech coil conversion rear with OME springs/shocks from a 4Runner
Snorkel
Full skid plates
Sliders
275/70-17's
ARB Air Locker (rear)

My only concern is sourcing or waiting for parts. I know that back in the day, ARB wouldn't have an issue ordering Prado parts but their friendliness seems to have left with their move to Renton. If they would order these items, what is the typical wait time?

Thanks!

Sub'd. I'm very interested in compiling a list of vendors willing to help GX owners build the American Prado 120. I contacted Asfir directly. I got the "sorry, we don't carry products for the GX470".

Had a nice conversation with Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters about this just a short while ago. While my main interest was specifically in ARB parts, Kurt assured me that it is no problem getting a deluxe bull bar, snorkel or skid plates with Prado part numbers. Kurt said that since ARB USA (in Auburn, WA) distributes ARB for South and Central America (where Prados are quite prominent), these items are typically in stock stateside. The GX uses '02-'09 4Runner suspension components so that's not a concern (if swapping out the rear airbags for coils). Thanks to Kurt for taking the time to answer my newbie questions! Cruiser Outfitters rocks!

Kurt (Cruiser Outfitters) is more than willing to support a build-out of your GX. I've been bending his ear for the past few months about my vehicle choices (LX470, 4th Gen 4Runner, 2nd Gen or current Tacoma and now my latest obsession: GX470). Whatever Toyota or Lexus you have, they have the parts and the know-how to get it done. I may sound like a broken record but I'm really impressed with their customer service. There is a handful of vendors that will supply parts but Cruiser Outfitters not only sells parts, but they build vehicles for their customers that actually use them like WE intend. Other vendors carry several product lines but their interest may be elsewhere. Kurt and his folks use their own Toyotas for overlanding and exploring so the knowledge base is there on the other end of the telephone.

While I'm sure it's a great truck, I personally don't see the allure to purchasing a pre-built vehicle or having one built, thanks. Feel free to use my fact-finding thread as an advertisement though...

You can get a lot for the GX. I managed. Iron Man can slow boat anything you want. I have a prado bumper on the front, ASFIR skids under, and a prado snorkel. I had custom sliders and rear bumper made since they weren't making them yet (southern speed style does now) if you like that look.
