Are your Dewalt tools Lithium ion powered? I have the corded saws all and find it so useful.

They are lithium ion. I love them!! I used them for construction for a couple years and they really take a beating. They can be a pain to use in extreme cold, like below 10 degree (Montana problems). The cordless saws all comes in handy all the time!

Finally got my RTT and I did it. Decided to go with the Tepui kukinam sky. Well worth the wait. Have a fishing/ camping trip planned next weekend to break it in.

We were curious where our yellow lab was going to sleep because I don't really feel like lugging her up and down the ladder. So I put her dog bed under the RTT in the bed and I think it's a winner. She liked it so much she slept back there for 2 hours and when I eventually went to get her out I had to drag her out of the bed. I think even with a lite/ moderate rain she would stay dry. Has anyone had any experience with their k9 friends sleeping under the RTT?

Very happy to get out and camp with this thing. Reviews coming soon.

Yes sir heat shrink on U-bolts. Good idea on moving it. May put it in the middle so it wouldn't hit me or my old lady. Rather it hit me than her lol. I've got a harder head.

Since the bed is about as long, as it is wide, hanging the rod holder sideways, right behind the cab might be an option, too.

I've seen Costman's rod vault as well- I like your half rod idea because that would work for my bed rack as well.

Do you guys have any type of padding inside of the PVC?

I haven't figured out a padding for the rod vaults I've built but if I notice a little rub on the fly rod, I just put it in a rod sock.

Do you have room in the back seat area for your yellow lab? We removed the seat and built a platform for the back with cubby holes for storage underneath. The fridge, ArkPak, and dogs ride back there. I thought they would sleep back there too, but they want to be closer to us so they end up in the Flippac with us.

Nice build, btw. have fun with it.

Yeah she does. I put her in the bed if she's wet or stinky though lol. Thanks I'm actually putting the truck up for sale and buying a second gen.
