Factory single cab Gladiator with a Morgan Olson aluminum box

The Morgan Olson box is aluminum so the curb weight is around 5,000 pounds, with a payload rating of 1,700 pounds.
Same 137 wheelbase but total length is 210 inches, 8 inches shorter than the 'regular' Gladiator.

Does this mean if you are on a rural route you will start getting ducks with your mail?

If we’re dreaming, I would actually take an extended cab with a six or 6 1/2 foot bed
A small area behind the seat to toss my jacket and my girls purse and everything else.

And then a decent four-wheel camper mounted on the back

Awesome. I want to see something like the AEV Outpost Jeep camper thing AEV made a few years back. That would be so awesome.

Have you seen what a friend and I built?
A plus of the Fuchs/Grec camper design is the 11ish inches the full enclosed cab version needs dedicated for front seat movement/recline is available in the full opening version like theirs. So shorter overall length, or more cabin space.

The pass through is really nice too. We don't climb through it often, but we put gear on the front seats basically every time we're in the back as additional storage to free up "people space" in the back.

Here is some more info on the Kestrel;

If they get enough interest they may? offer this in a flatbed. With an aluminum flatbed you may be able to get the cargo cap. up over 2,000 lbs. vs. the service body pictured.

Economy's of scale and fleet sales is what companies like this respond to! If they think it will sell, they will build it.

With just under 8' behind the cab it would be a great platform for a light weight flat bed camper body. ( Composite, Fiberglass, ect. )

They even offer this con. in RHD models.

Based on published info, productions is set to start in Q2 2026

It's time to travel. Be safe, not scared.
