Ran this with the AZVJC on Saturday. We picked up the trail somewhere about 50 miles outside of Globe. We had about a dozen rigs with a good mix of TJ's, XJ's as well as a sweet Grand Cherokee and nicely built 4-door JK. Great group of people with great weather. There are a lot of side trails and hiking opportunities that I would like to go back and check out later.

The End :)

Sorry it's not much of a trip report. It was a club run and I was just along for the fun so I didn't do much in the way of research before hand

How was the trail condition?
Last time I tried to get through, the road was washed out just above the creek near the bottom of the canyon. Oh and the creek was about 6' high. Such a fun, long day trail! Thanks for sharing!

Heck yeah man, the Expo rocks :sombrero: If the Jeep wasn't covered in mud you could have seen my Expo stickers!

Did you make it up to Flag on Sunday like you were planning? How was the snow up there?

The trail was in great shape. No washouts and the creek wasn't very deep at all. Other than some soupy mud at the top, the trail was pretty much perfect. Nice, easy and very scenic trip. I definitely want to try it again in different seasons to see how it changes.

I'm trying to figure out where you entered the Cherry Creek Rd. I usually get on it in Young. Did you enter it on the Globe-Young Rd. just east of Roosevelt? I hope to get up my my secret camping spot this Christmas.

Does anyone live in that cabin?
Shame about the scratched on graffiti on the wall and that a 4wd club had to be the ones to do it...makes us all look bad....unless it is something the cabin owner invites people to do (then it would be important to reference that with the photo).

Never been on Cherry Creek that I can recall, will have to check it out.
