#2020
1964 Icon Toyota Landcruiser FJ45 Pickup
701 miles
$148,000

This recreation of the 1964 Toyota Landcruiser FJ45 was just completed in March of 2010. Icon, the company who hand built this truck offers multiple engine, transmission, suspension and brake packages. This particular vehicle was ordered with the upgrades 5.7 liter V8 (450 horsepower) with the 5 speed manual transmission, Sport Brake Package (6 piston front and 4 piston rear calipers with slotted rotors) and ARB locking front and rear differentials. Even though this truck was built in 2010 with all brand new parts, it is titled and currently registered in California as a 1964 Toyota and is completely smog exempt.

Thanks for posting... I'm now on my way out to the corner store now to buy a lottery ticket and see if I can buy this truck....

What's with the Toyota plate, is it a LC frame/VIN or something?

Super pretty truck. For that price it should be close to perfect though, and it isn't. I'd love to have it nonetheless.

You'd almost have to have an unlimited supply of money to get something like this. Because if you take it out and actually use it, you're just going to be counting the miles and how much it is being devalued. Put a scratch on it ... oooop, there's two grand. Hard to see using it the way it was intended at that price. Unless one is in a position to not care about money.

Those things are cool as hell....but you don't get a removable hard top (AND a soft top) for nearly $150K?!?

Not the best...

ICONs a sweet. Fantastic attention to detail and guys that know what they are about. And they make a living at it! What I find sad about this one for sale (other than not ever having a glimmer of hope to afford one) is that it doesn't have the optional engine...the Rover TDI Diesel! That is the set up to have IMHO!
Nice...but not the best of their line...

VERY COOL.

But 150k buys a lot of car these days. I'd buy it on a 50% discount & feel like I might have gotten an OK deal.

Wow! I'm talking about the 10 page parts list in the CL add. 100k+ in parts and a teachers salary in labor.

I saw one at a shop and the shop tech called it a P.O.S. I said "a 100k p.o.s.?" I couldn't stop drooling. That is just fantastic.

I think the fact that you can actually go and buy these trucks makes(some) people not like them. Just think about all those 100k+ custom rock buggies out there. I don't think I have ever heard anyone poking around in any given Moab parking lot looking at all the custom rigs saying "that just is stupid" Or "what a p.o.s"

If I could I would

A lot of people are jealous and will criticize before even thinking about what they are saying. Then continue on, all the while not realizing how dumb they sound.

Something is worth what you can sell it for, basic economic principle.

Similar to hearing people complain about their wages, if you can make more, go do it. Oh yeah...

What's not really debatable is that these ICON trucks are works of art. To create such beautiful trucks takes huge investment, huge risk and huge sack. The price reflects this investment and risk.

If they could be made cheaper, we'd see them everywhere.

If ever I'm blessed enough to afford one, I'd buy one. Why not dawn the Rolex of the 4x4 world.
