Don't feel too bad, just look at the AT MJ if you are worried about longevity of your Jeep.

Hey, be happy you did it while out on the trail, using it the way it should be. My 100K roll was on a trip to work. :(

What makes it sad ??..................Actually I guess I am really happy becasue I love it. Just feels like a birthday getting older. Guess I am glad it is not in the obituary pages.

When the heart gives out its time for a ls swap...:sombrero:

I used to be all about doing a SBC swap of some flavour. Nowadays I think I lean more to a stroker. It's just easier and none of the worries about heat for the most part.

Plus, I like the sound the 4.0 makes. I've warmed up to it. The sound of a small block in an XJ would just be weird or something.

X2 and since I started pulling a trailer everywhere I go I think about it more and more. Amazing how the snappy little 4.0L can turn into such a dog when you hook an extra 1500 Lbs behind it.

I bet the designers never really intended it to be a trailer tower for anything more than lawn mowers and dirt bikes. If you've got the automatic transmission and you are towing a trailer you are asking for trouble, and I was always taught that unibodies are a big no-no when you are towing trailers. Not sure why, thats just what was always engraved in my head as long as I can remember. Even a Wrangler isn't a good tow rig because of its short wheel base.
