John is a very stand up guy, who owns and operates All4Wheel Jeep repair & customization shop in Corona, and is the guy who did all the major mechanical work to my LJ. This is one seriously cool rig put together by someone who really knows what he's doing!

Bump for a beautiful jeep, and a question. Is there any information on dash mounted LCD screen. I have one mounted in my DD, fiberglassed but that looks abs or aftermarket mount. Any info, appreciated. Good luck with sale.

I made the dash myself. I used some of the original Jeep plastic, molded and added other parts I needed to get what you see (gross over simplification!). It was then painted with a plastic paint made to match the color of the original plastic.

Probably 50 hrs in the plastic parts alone. There is a metal frame holding the LCD, controller boards and radio behind the dash.

The LCD is manufactured by LiteMax. Supposed to be the same one used in the F15 fighters. The LCD with IR touch screen was $1600 all by itself! So you can see my reasoning for the option of removing it or adding $2000 to the cost. In the whole system I have about $3800 in hardware and software. Countless hours in design and fabrication.

Lots of info on in car computing at MP3Car.com

This part of the Jeep is a hobby all by itself. If one is not computer savvy or willing to learn the system, I would recommend having me remove it if you are interested in the Jeep.

So the real question.... how long and through how many gears can it smoke the rear (or all four) tires....lol

A lot of people ask that. The real truth is that big off road tires are pretty sticky, and with the electronic throttle opening a little slower than a cable operated one it hooks up pretty good and doesn't burn off the tires. 0-60mph in about 6.5 seconds.

Now if you hit it and happen to loose traction, i.e. a little dirt or water, it will spin the tires and bounce of the rev limiter before you can get off the throttle!

Overall a perfect match of power to weight.

Console

If the stereo option is not taken will you be selling the console fab? Are you interested in making a new one for me if not? I have been thinking of interior mods to support an in-dash nav/stereo system but have not had much luck finding anybody willing or able to do it.

Coyote13 - So sorry I have not responded to you. I was getting emails when someone responded to this post but haven't had any in months. Someone calling about the Jeep prompted me to look again.
I am not willing to make another dash bezel. Entirely too many hours involved. I may sell the old one if I remove the computer when I sell the Jeep. I'll let you know.

Another good guy comment from me too. John has wrenched on several vehicles i've owned and i remember way back when, when ALL 4Wheeldrive was next to Currie.
