I dont think they are related....VSS (PO500) is related to the speed sensors at the knuckles... The smoking is probably valve seals, and the 02 could have been toasted by the oil contamination. Id replace the valve seals, and 02...then look into a possible bad VSS wire or actual sensor...

Hi all, been lurkin for a while and finally signed on... I finally got an 89 Monty SWB V6. A guy I work with bought it in California back in 93... WELL maintained and cared for. It arrived in Michigan here about 5 yrs ago and was rarely driven. He finally agreed to sell it to me. Pics...
