Whoa! Idk what happened but I totally let this die. To be fair, I really haven't done anything of interest to the truck but I did go to Colorado back in June, been camping a few times, and I'm heading north to Wisconsin to run part of the TWAT later this month. Hope to have some small...
Very nice truck. Should make a good travel rig in stock form. I'd say throw some 33s on it even if you keep it relatively stock. They will fit easily and won't affect performance much at all. I didn't really notice a difference on my rig.
This rig is turning out great! It's amazing how much the little things like organizers make a big difference when traveling.
I still need to copy your box link system for mounting stuff.
BTW, if anyone is interested I'm on Instagram: overlandfx4.
Another thing that happened in my overlanding life is I led a group of people from Midwest Overlanders through South Central IN on what we called our "Tour of Tulips." Hit a number of scenic spots and tried to stay off pavement as...
Wow. Didn't check in for a week and a half and things blew up in here lol! :ylsmoke:
Sure am! I help admin the group actually :campfire:
Nice what did you go with? I really need to upgrade myself.
Not much different honestly. The few sections that exceeded my limits were entirely...
I plan to hit RMNP and and Bill Moore Lake. I will then be in Idaho Springs for my friends' bachelor party. Mesa Verde looks absolutely amazing. Take lots of pics (I'm sure you will lol)!
Thanks! Yeah, it was a dream to get to complete the trail. Way different than the midwest terrain we...
Just thought I'd check in on my build thread since it has been a while. No major updates to the truck but I did go to Utah (trip report link below). During that trip I dented up my driveshaft so I did have a new one built in Salt Lake City. That was fun...
I have a huge list of maintenance...
Indiana to Utah
In early April, some of us from Midwest Overlanders took a long awaited trip to Utah to run the White Rim Trail. The plan was to run White Rim and then we were going to split up. Like many adventures, plans changed and more on that ahead.
Three of us took off from Indiana on a...
Clean install on that light bar. Just did a single row behind the grille myself. I'm not a huge fan of light bars aesthetically but they are effective so I like low profile mounting options. Been quietly following your build for a while and really like it.

I actually got an email from amazon to answer your question lol but I can't. I imagine it would but I'm not totally sure to be honest. The upfitter switches are sweet. I looked at them but I wanted to mount my switches somewhere that didn't require cutting anything that couldn't be easily...
I ordered this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H7X8IWE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I ordered it specifically because they said they already had mounts that would work perfectly and they *mostly* did lol. Had to enlarge some holes in the plastic over the radiator...
Another project finally complete after having the parts since December. Installed a 20" single row lightbar behind the grille and 2 A-pillar spots on SDHQ mounts. The SDHQ mounts are great quality. I'm really impressed. A friend helped me wire it all up because I'm a bit of an idiot when it...
