We hit all 4 National Parks in Colorado. The plan is to visit every national park and take the trailer except for Alaska and Hawaii. There are I think 6 in Alaska that are accessible only by train or float plane, so the beast won't make it to them all.
Next year I think the trip is going to...

Updated July 2020:
Took the trailer across country to Colorado. 4000+ miles and 3 weeks on the road. The trailer and my 2007 4runner performed perfectly. One mountain climb had me worried for the transmission on the old 4runner as she crossed 200k miles that I stopped at the top scenic overlook...
With so much time on my hands quarantined, I decided this was as good a time as any to finish it up. Stained and painted the inside, built some cabinet doors and finished the galley.
Thanks Tony!
I roll it up, it is a foam mattress. I use straps when not in use and then I fold up the platform so I have storage space. I attach some pics of that
It's been too long away from the board and just getting back to do some updates!
2019 we went out about 5 trips and I made some changes based on experience in the wild. I changed out the faucet for a shorter one so the cabinet door wouldn't hit it. The white paint I knew would be a mistake as...
What is the name of the vinyl and the headliner? Where did you purchase? I have been delaying the inevitable of skinning the ceiling of the cabin. The bendable plywood I used on the hatch didn't fare very well because of the radius I had and formed some slight cracks. I am still going to put it...
Love the marine vinyl, so clean looking, great job with the panels. I am getting ready to move back to the inside cabin on my build once I finish the galley soon and was curious how you liked the vinyl as well as the headliner material you picked?
Also where in Florida are you? I am in St...
Got the galley 95% done with the countertop hatch in place. Now just need to repaint the cabinets and add the missing door and put on the drawer fronts and it will be complete in the galley. Heading out in April and I want to get this thing completed this spring.
Next up will be to complete...
Thanks FireMedic! It has been an incredibly rewarding build. Didn't think i was going to make it through at times but between this forum, youtube videos and the help of the interwebs, I persevered. The sink I bought off amazon, Moen 2200 Series 22 Gauge Single Bowl Drop In Sink, 15 x 15...
Finally did some work on the trailer over break. I decided after camping 4 times that the white counters and cabinets were not going to work. Got dirty immediately and isn't food safe as countertops. you can see from the one pic how dirty the back wall got, so that will be repainted after I...
Next up on the list of to do items:
- Finish Electrical in galley with Led Lights, Switch panel with USB and 12v outllet, outside porch lights
- insulation and skin inside sleeping area
- Stainless steel countertops
- Stainless steel hatch inside. The bendable plywood already cracked. Probably...
So I just came back from a two night trip and my battery was at 89% when I returned. This made me realize that I never checked to see if the battery was fully charged when I bought it. When the guy at the store told me they came fully charged, my warning bell in the back of my head said don't...
Thanks Wood85! I was looking at the Lifetime cooler in walmart the other day and was going to give it a try. Glad to hear real world review on it. I will get a few of the cooler shock freeze packs as well, just researched those and they look pretty awesome.
