Can find tons of them on ebay and such for $50, but that's a crazy price for a piece of wire, especially since this radio has been discontinued for a few years.
Thanks.
I'd be careful as they painted over that rust. what other rust did they paint over that you can't see? Not saying it's not good otherwise, but be careful.
Just searched and found at least one other MicroLite owner here. We just put a deposit down on this:
Big enough to haul the kayaks and camping stuffs. Can haul miscellaneous junk when needed.
And super light... dealer lists it at 760#. Should pull behind our minivan like nothing is there...
"I currently have a Yaesu handheld, but it only does so much."
It probably won't do any more than your Yaesu. And it probably won't do it as well.
They are fine little radios for the money, but they are cheap little radios.

This is generally what I do as well. Have a friend who is a big fan of the "jam it all in there any way you can" method.
Though I am liking the idea of hanging it up at home for long term storage. I generally make sure it's clean and dry then roll it back up and put it in the bag.
Want a single radio to handle both voice comms and APRS.
Looking at Yaesu FTM-350 and Kenwood TMD710.
Anything else to look at?

not your tp... don't care what you do there.
Do you fold your tent before putting it in the stuff sack or do you just jam it in there?
As I see it, just stuffing it in will prevent the same fibers from getting folded constantly, hopefully reducing wear at any single point. But it's also much...
Few years old. Hardly ever worn.
Don't see using them any time soon in Southern New Mexico.
$85 shipped in US. Or trade (plus cash on my side) for dual band ham radio with detachable face plate. Or something else...
