    EarthRoamer LTX - new layout

I always chuckle when we unwashed criticize a $1million rig. You have to remember these campers are built to the buyer's expectations and not our expectations. Those buyers are different than us, for better or worse.

    Earthroamer sell off?

All this talk of "stupidly expensive" and "value not there" doesn't compute when you're talking about a purchase by someone with the means to make it happen. You may think it's stupid, you may think the value is not there, but other people think differently. Why are there so many used ERs...

    A couple EarthCruiser EXP/FX questions

    1) The EC comed with a typical Isotherm refrigerator with small freezer compartment. Many people add a separate portable refrig/freezer that lives in the rear storage area. But in our experience we eat way less when we're camping than we do at home. We do simplified meals on the road, plus...

    What Earthroamer Won't Tell You!

Ooof, 90# of air in those rear tires to hold all that weight. How low can you guys go when off road before you blow the tire off the rim??

    StoryTeller Overland GXV Hilt

It's really easy to blow past your vehicle's GVWR if you're talking four people, two spares, a dirt bike, 4 bicycles, an oven, 50 gallons of water, 50 gallons of fuel, etc... Do the math, it doesn't work. And if you grow past 14,000 pounds on a medium duty chassis, you get into a new heavier...

    StoryTeller Overland GXV Hilt

Two years of ownership seems to be the point where the fantasy sours for many.

    StoryTeller Overland GXV Hilt

Great point. And in my experience, the mechanical skills of the owners tend to decline the higher the price of the rig, especially the post-Covid zombie apocalypse work from the road buyers. When you hit half a million bucks I think you'll find these owners pay somebody else to turn a wrench...

    StoryTeller Overland GXV Hilt

Trust me, you don't want a high tech suspension on a heavy expedition rig. They're almost impossible to repair on the trail or in a Third World country. Leaf springs and good old shock absorbers are the way to go on a big rig like this. But the problem is that our better halves don't like the...

SOLD 2017 EarthCruiser FX - Mitsubishi Fuso Chassis. For Sale. Portland, OR

A steal at this price. New ECs are going for well over $500k and the new ones are gasser Izuzus, for better or worser.

For sale 2017 Earthcruiser FX. 51,529 miles. Eastcoast SOLD

"This is the last diesel Fuso Earthcruiser made, which the owner of Earthcruiser company had commented was a unicorn." FYI, If the build number is #25 it isn't the last diesel out the door at EC. A 2018 diesel, build #49 is for sale on EC's website. Fuso stopped importing their trucks into...

    Earthroamer Forum

Owner-only forums keep conversations civil and to the point. Plus truck outfitters/builders are busy building custom trucks and don't have extra people on staff to monitor forums. If you're an enthusiast of certain types of vehicles and want to ask a question of an owner, do it here on...

    StoryTeller Overland buys GXV

It's also odd that nobody at Storyteller or GXV has responded to these complains on this forum. I mean....boys, this is the leading forum for expedition vehicle buyers. Other builders reply in person to forum posts, why not you guys?? Oh wait, Storyteller (and I assume the new GXV) only...

    Global Expedition Vehicles Adventure Truck

It's too bad that there are no longer any factory made medium duty cabover 4x4s offered in the US. It's a shame that 40% of the length of this rig is taken up by the cab and engine, leaving little room for living space. It's a nice build that could be so much better on a cabover.
