I love my 80 series, 70 series are super rad. So is a 3/4 ton truck. Heck, I even like LR3s. Horses for courses. Brand dogma is an unfortunate disease.

    Part time 4WD

Any more reflection on this modification? I’ve spent enough time considering and need to make my mind up. I’ll be in the transfer case for the 3.1 low range gears soon enough, and I only want to open up the case once…

    235/85/16? Let's see them

I had a D1 awhile back with some 215/85R16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. I miss that truck dearly. What an amazing truck, and reliable too! Would absolutely enjoy one again if given the opportunity.

    235/85/16? Let's see them

1992 FJ80 phresh outta the junk yard. Picked it up with a blown motor @320k miles, this is the first 5 mile trip I took two days before a 2k mile road trip with the family (it was successful!) At 35psi the 235/85R16 Cooper Discoverer AT3s measure 30.5” tall after about 20k miles. Perhaps a...

    Single bend in the frame

Someone beat me to it, but if it can be aligned, it’s good. If the bumper cant be bolted back due to twist/bends etc for sure a good fabricator can bend it back and reinforce it, or otherwise.

2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Uberlanding Build

Vehicle reliability is not a function of age Hey Matt, nice Jeep. Even as a Land Rover owner myself, I agree- a great choice of vehicle, perhaps only, to buy new. But yet I have to extend my remorse... "It was time to grow up, put on my big boy pants, and get something reliable that I could...

    Michelin XZL

I'm almost certain those are not produced anymore. Every once and awhile you'll see a few scragglers pop up on ebay but I haven't seen a full (new) set. What size are you looking for?

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

Here's a couple iPhone hipstermatics of my '96 DI, haven't really messed with it other than the 215/85R16 DuraTracs Osceola National Forest has roads that turn into rivers Withlacoochee Forest has a couple slick, wet clay runs

Long time lurker, new D1 owner

I'm in the middle of figuring this spring deal out too. There's a lot of people that jump on HD or Extra HD springs because apparently "that's what your supposed to do" but I don't believe this. So by 'level front' it appears they mean stock front springs. See the stripes on the center...

Bump for an excelent looking vehicle, what wheels exactly are these?

Long time lurker, new D1 owner

Just my opinion: wait on a lift 'kit'. A stock height DI is pretty impressive. I'm enjoying mine quite a bit. I replaced the original shocks with procomp es9000 (I can provide the part numbers if you'd like). New shocks alone, when compared to the original(worn out) ones, improved the ride...
