Another LR3 owner chiming in. Mine's the 2006 SE V6 and it's just a baby w/ 121k on it. Pretty uneventful ownership of ~ 10 years other than a couple of little easy issues and having the transmission shift valves/solenoids replaced. Can't really justify getting rid of it at this point because...
Tough call. I was in the same boat, but replacing my LR3 with something else, no matter what, is just unreasonably expensive nowadays. Getting my transmission sorted out after waffling about it for way too long (a couple of years) was the answer. I had a shop put in new solenoids/etc. on my '06...
Thanks, totally understand what you get with the GAP. I know lots of people will say just get it, but I wouldn't use its full capabilities. Something along the lines of what Foxwell etc. offer for half or less than what the GAP costs is what I'm looking at.
Looking for recommendations on a decent enough scanner that's relatively cheaper than the GAP IID. I would probably not even use 90% of what the GAP can do, so is there something in between that and a low end $20 deal from Autozone that is a good all-rounder?
This was installed one time, but I ended up going with something else. It does fit nicely and includes the airbag cover. I removed most of the adhesive, but there will still be a tiny bit of residue present. The airbag cover can be reapplied easily with some double sided tape. WYSIWYG.
Thanks guys. I had the wheel off for a few minutes test fitting another wheel and somehow the car had gone into monster truck mode on it's own. It stayed that way overnight and was easy enough to reset.
