Great follow-up. For trail/overland travel, nearly exclusively simplex. The exception would be APRS. I do occasionally chat to others (including my mother as of recent) on our local repeaters.
What different methods are you using to communicate vehicle to vehicle while you are on the trail, in the back-country or on the road?
I’m primarily curious about your vehicle to vehicle communications, not emergency comms such as InReach, PLB, Starlink, etc.

Yup, it was on the trip with its new owner, a fantastic gent ‘caught by the travel bug’. All of the E7-200’s have sold. As with anything, one may pop up on the market in the future as users needs change but at current they are scattered all over the Western US when home.
Had the opportunity to ring in the New Year with a E7-200M owners in some of my favorite Utah winter back country spots. A few of us have been making this an annual tradition and it was fun to share with some others. While I don’t own a E7-200M, my 200 fit right in :D and our shop did the gears...
