I didn't tape it to the bed, I just cut pieces to fit and taped them together then the bed mat holes it down and at the top its tucked under the bedrail. This isn't a perfect job but with the a number of holes in the bed it's a pretty good improvement. here's a better picture

I've been out testing the new bike rack. Have about 500 miles on it so far and nothings fallen off. It's been a slow project taking me more than a year of and on tinkering on it to get it where it's at now. Maybe I can get some paint on it now, but I'll probably just go riding instead.

I used 3M marine restorer and wax with a buffer and the results were excellent. It took a day and a half to get around the 23' travel trailer but totally worth it.
