Safe Ebike Battery Charging/ Travel Storage

I wanted to share some more pictures of the little "Peccadillo's" I added to my travel battery box: I added D-rings to the side of the spout so that the box can be locked closed & cable locked to the vehicle. I added a retractable key fob to hold the key for the battery (to bike) lock...

Safe Ebike Battery Charging/ Travel Storage

Granted I am new into the "E vehicle" thing. However, I am probably going to start building bikes again, Ebikes ( Mfg of bikes & components is how i started my career). So this is what I have learned so far: Bad cheap batteries start fires. Buy batteries a reputable firm what will offer you...

Crazy Thought: Using high-end Lithium Bicycle Batteries for your "camping" power supply?

Yes, quite a bit more money than a vehicular AGM. However, I like the idea that it is multi functional. We mostly camp/travel solo and are not pulling the Jeep behind Casa so much anymore. I always bring a Mt.bike along to do a "little exploring" around our camps. But in the case of us getting...

Crazy Thought: Using high-end Lithium Bicycle Batteries for your "camping" power supply?

I'm talking "small rig" camping... Charge 2 at a time while driving and use one in the afternoon after making camp for exploring on your Ebike, then the other for camp once it gets dark. Here is the one on my prototype bike: 60V 20ah (with a DC/DC transformer or inverter should supply enough...

OM605 with a mechanical pump??? Did Menken sell you the pump? I have an OM602 DE2.9LA in my Jeep Scrambler and with the help of a really good pump house made my Bosch CE pump mechanical. Runs much better on the high sulfur Mexican diesel.

    The Oshkosh P-19 (Project Dingo)

I sure will! And wish you the best of luck! You know this forum is about people building up their rigs and going exploring in them... Not broken somewhere (hopefully not really remote like I've experienced in my youth) and waiting for some "vintage" exotic large $x$ part to be "found" in some...

    The Oshkosh P-19 (Project Dingo)

First off, Please forgive my negativity... Before you start your truck project I think you should go "ReFi" your house and get right around $100K in cash, then stop by the local liquor store and get a large bottle of tequila & 12 pac of Pacificos, then head home. Once at home, set the beach...

    Pultrusions - where to buy?

THAT IS BIG DOG! Just like you and your father have been since you have moved over to North America! People that are too cheap to buy it for what you are willing to sell it for are just... Too cheap!

    Pultrusions - where to buy?

Those are manufactures! I'd wouldn't be surprised at all that they ignore you. I dealt with them on an industrial design project that potentially would have used 1000's of linear feet. Just the test prototypes took several hundred feet and ended up being a flop because my clients could not "wrap...
