The only possible problem that I can see is that a deeply discharged Lithium Iron battery can suck a lot of amps. As long as you don't melt cables or overload the alternator, and is seems like you don't, then this is fine.
The big change is that with lead acid we were always trying to charge to...
I use both REDARC and Victron. The REDARC lithium settings will be fine. Remember, while lead acid really wants to be sure to get to a high voltage, lithium iron is the opposite. Anything above 13.8v is more than enough.
Not arguing. The question was installing camper/house batteries outside of the heated envelope.
There are devils in the details, of course, but, for camper batteries in a system with reasonable reserves, the loss of power to cold usually does not keep the system from working. In other words...
To be clear, lithium iron batteries have no problem discharging at below freezing; they cannot be charged when below freezing.
Depending on how cold your battery area actually gets, you are probably fine with heated batteries, as sold by Battle Born and others.
Cleaning before putting into storage.
At the happy place, Atkinson Vos.
On the road to Gara Medouar: https://diplostrat.net/2025/05/16/the-road-to-gara-medouar/
Truck has been well maintained (records available). Initially overhauled by Terry Lee Enterprises (http://www.terryleeenterprises.com/) and, most recently, with annual visits to Akinson Vos, a Mercedes/Unimog specialist in UK. (https://www.unimogs.co.uk/)
Well used and loved since 2017. Time...
Greetings from NoVa.
Some thoughts:
-- While the Bliss modules are designed to be shipped as marine containers, I would ask them how people get these containers to their trucks and mount them, etc. I am sure that there is a way, I just don't know what it is.
-- You may not need any special...
Probably easier/cheaper to simply ship your truck.
This is what we did.
Vehicle shipment is the least expensive part of taking a US camper overseas.
Insurance/storage/Schengen visa limitations can be much more expensive...
Yes. Took the truck to them when we first arrived in UK. First time that the truck got a good worker with people who work on these beasts all day.
Have gone back every year since for a "spa day."
Heading back now to take care of some rotting air lines and worn out bushings.
Great people.
