2013 JKU Rubicon, AEV Components and Ursa Minor Vehicles J30 Top, 61,xxx miles - $28,500

I know the OP, and this Jeep, and you will not find a more meticulously cared for or better setup JK than this one. Every upgrade carefully chosen and executed the right way. I'd buy the thing myself if I didn't already have a multiple Jeep problem 🤣

    Max Coupler Wearing Out

You are correct $8 for the part, $12 for USPS shipping. Agreed, any progress is progress, we'll take the win! lol

    Max Coupler Wearing Out

Just an update, went to the CU website, clicked on the part needed, submitted the form request and received an email a couple hours later to pay for the part plus shipping =$20 and done. Pretty straight forward, while it's not a direct order online, they responded quickly and now will wait for...

Semi-Flex Panel Mounting - Grommets only, or add tape?

I would suggest using VHB tape between the panel and the frame on all parts of the frame. The air flutter from highway speeds is apparently what causes micro fractures in the panels and kills them.

Starlink Mini Portable Dish With Integrated Wi-Fi Router

I got my Mini installed this weekend on our FWC Project M using a Striker Fabrication's Mini mount and their batwing extensions. I had to drill one hole in each of the extensions to span the width I needed, super easy, really nice mount. I still have to finish up the interior wiring, the USB C...

    Starlink Mini Power Setup Questions

We recently picked up a Starlink Mini and I am working on getting it setup on our FWC Project M. For power, we have a 100ah Lifpo system for the FWC and 200 watts of solar on the roof. Additionally, we have a Bluetti AC70 and a 200 watt portable panel. I'm likely going to run the Mini off the...

Semi-Flex Panel Mounting - Grommets only, or add tape?

I am not a fan of the flexible panels, having had an Overland Solar panel fail 6 months into ownership. Fun fact, for warranty the panel must be on an "approved frame" and bolted down and vhb'd to the frame as well, but that's another story. I switched to a rigid 200w Renogy panel on our FWC...

    Max Coupler Wearing Out

Thanks for the info, been away from the computer for a few days. When I was looking, I came across the Energy Suspension bushing but was out of stock or discontinued, can't remember. I will hit up CU and see what happens...

    Project M competitors?

We've had a Project M on our Ram 1500 for 1 1/2 years and so far, we love it. Have had a couple warranty issues that were resolved quickly at our local dealer. I looked at the Ovrlnd camper as well, and our friends purchased one because they wanted the additional interior standing height. We...

    Max Coupler Wearing Out

Thanks for the reply! I haven't towed my trailer in a while so I may be making it more of an issue than it is, we shall soon see. It appears Off Grid trailers still supplies the Max Coupler hitches with its trailers so I may try going through them if I can't get any response out of CU. Off Grid...

    Propex Heater in a box.....

Nicely done! I've been pondering a similar setup for our Four Wheel Camper Project M. Appreciate the leg work!

    Max Coupler Wearing Out

Reviving an old thread, anyone know where to source a replacement bushing for the trailer side of the Max Coupler? Mine has gotten quite a bit of exposure damage and a google search turns up no stock or low stock but can't ship to my address (which probably means they don't have it). I'm not...

Roverking 4 Seasons Off-road Truck Camper

We ended up getting a FWC Project M a year ago. I see Roverking finally came out with a full-size version but we're pretty happy with the Project M and it weighs half as much. I don't think I want to go heavier given our Ram 1500 payload and I prefer the full popup to the wedge design.

How to trickle charge starter battery from house battery set up?

Bummer - my reply from yesterday didn't go through. Well, there goes main reason for switching it out, I got so obsessed with solar input voltage I missed that glaring detail. Thanks for pointing it out! I may give the Renogy DCDC a test if I can figure out how to test it easily without...

How to trickle charge starter battery from house battery set up?

I found this DC-DC Charger w/MPPT that functions the same as the Renogy 50a DC-DC w/MPPT that I already have except that it can handle up to 50 volts solar input, which would solve my issue with the 25 volt limited Renogy and my 32 volt panel...
