I'm considering getting a slide-in total composite camper, but I would need to upgrade to a 3/4 ton.
It would be used for weekend ski trips so would want 4x4, and a couple longer trips from the East coast out west to MTB.
The three are Ford, GMC, or Dodge. Ideally not much older than 4 or 5...
Whats the MPG?
Is it registered as an RV currently?
Any issues with finance/insurance?
Could the under bed storage fit a mountain bike or 3? lift the bed, cut a larger door etc? that sort of thing.

I really like the AEONrv, the bathroom/shower is the decider for the missus, hope to check one out at an expo. Big selling point for me is the 4 season aspect, we skied this weekend and it was -11F initially, thats what I want a camper or trailer to handle
In a few years we are planning on getting a large truck based camper, semi full timing as work etc. allows. Does anyone know where it might be possible to rent something like an earthcruiser etc. in the US?

Thanks for the response, white rim trail was on my list for 2020 (by MTB, but hey covid) and I was just curious if the bigger rigs would manage that trail? :)
