Yes, I'm aware of your position but AFAIK nobody in the US has been forced to choose an EV. ;) Unfortunately the science that drives the move from fossil fuels is still there, even if we choose to ignore it. US auto makers will just have to catch up when our current situation passes.
Love the TR6! Mine was BRG. Bought it 10/76, next to the last one the dealer in Richmond VA got. Ownership came with issues as well as pleasures but it's the only car I ever dreamed about after it was gone.
Given the current political climate (pun intended) you can't fault a US auto maker from moving away from EVs. Development will continue in the rest of the world so they can license or copy the tech when the time is right. Just a bump in the road.
As pointed out in post #7, whatever the fuel source, a proper heater will draw and contain air from the outside for combustion and exhaust it to the outside. Professionally designed RV heaters work like this. It should be common sense but bears repeating when folks consider jury rigging their own.
