I also think there's some market saturation...there are a lot more companies trying to put out similar products and prices are competitive. I understand people wanting to get their money back, but they bought too high. Yeah, "used" prices here can be too high.
Love it! I've had the same thoughts about using a service body in this way. Unfortunately, I don't have your skills. :( I've wondered about the frame one would use....it looks like you built your own. Anything to keep in mind regarding the frame?
Looking forward to seeing the build.
Nice build. Did you build the rack fro the RTT or was that purchased? I'd like something similar for my trailer.
I believe you need to list the location of the trailer. GLWS...
If I were to buy right now, I'd prob get a Hiker. Not the traditional teardrop style, but a good [enough] quality trailer for my purpose.
I would second the advice to check out "Playing with Sticks." Drew gives excellent reviews and advice. He'll also reply to your comments/questions. Appears...
I like how you're thinking...Blackstone. Have you checked out Tventuring forum? and CompactCampingConcepts ? I would say minimum size is a 4'x6' trailer. Smaller may be a bit unstable and your RTT will hang over too much. Where do you want the kitchen? Off the back or a pull out. My trailer is...
I don't believe the 4 bolt will work for what you want to do. Also those small tires don't take highway speeds very well. I had something similar and changed the hubs and then used ST175/80D13. I picked up a pair from Amazon for less than $200
Ok, so they totally reversed the installation. Have you considered reversing the whole side panel. From your picture it looks like the seams near the corners/edges would be easier to unstitch and resew instead of cutting out the window. I think reversing the panel would provide the widow you...
I can understand your frustration. Is it screen material next under the outside flap or plastic window? It will influence what to do next.
I like the idea just posted by @klahanie.
As plh noted, it will not go up. You will need pressure (forced or column of water - like your sink trap) to "push" the water into the gray tank, but you will have water left in the trap. Could also:
- drop the gray tank a couple of inches so water flows
- raise the shower floor a bit and...
I had a similar thought, but could not find a camper that fit my trailer. I would have to build the trailer to fit the dimensions of the camper. If you started with a truck bed and made that in to a trailer it would be much easier to fit the camper. It would be much easier to fit most any...
Am I reading this correctly? ....
The camper can go on the Tundra or on the trailer AND can be removed at will. If on the trailer, when removed the trailer will go back to it's original use case...
Novel idea and I think it can be done. You will need to build up the trailer chassis a bit...
