BUMP, with update of completed side panel repair:
1) Used some tools to get the panel as straight as possible
2) Cut scrap wood to use as clamp reinforcement/spacers:
CVT awning remounted.
Here you can see I had it mounted on the pop top which made for awkward deployment and positioning of poles:
