You can operate the air compressor for the locker totally independently, it just needs 12v across it. I've mine wired to a switch on the dash, allows it to work in 2wd and 4h as well Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

Yes the 2.8 and 2.5 have different bellhousings, and they're physically bigger on the 2.8. There's a small bit of a computer controlling the auto box on a 2.8, I think it's up in the fuse box area. I have one that I can check for you if you want Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

Those gearboxes on the 2.5 diesels are quite soft, and it's probably the reason a lot of them were scrapped. A friend of mine blew up 3 of them over 4 years. Europe is probably your best bet, they were I. The pajero sport, l200 and pajero 2.5 diesel all had them Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003...

If it is the front seal on the pump you wouldn't see that there is a leak, it would just stall after a few mins of running. Does it run alright when you run it out of a drum of diesel? I doubt it is a fuel pressure issue, because you don't have a lift pump in the tank, the Injector pump sucks...

Unlikely to be the shutoff solenoid, if it runs for a while, turns off, then will run for the rest of the day fine, it is probably the seal on the injector pump behind the gear on the front. I would also check the fuel lines for pinholes, where it could be drawing in air, and the fuel filter...

Mine was doing the clicks while articulating, it was the bolt holes in the rear axle for the radius arms had gone a bit oval and it was moving. The swbs also have a rzeppa joint in the rear prop so it may be worth looking to see is that worn out I like the look of the swbs without the arch...
