We are looking into selling our 4runner and getting a mid size truck with a pop up camper.
The reason is our dogs can create quite the mess after beach/ river/ camping days in the 4runner.
( For any of those who follow me on here , yes I have a full size truck but I need my bed)...

I have had a 6.7 ford diesel and currently running a 6.4 hemi. I go between MT and CA.
It does truly come down to personal preference.
IMO diesels always handle better on the road than gasser's especially on those long windy icy hwy stretches. I like the heavier more planted feeling.
