Any reason not to consider air bags? If you only need extra support for towing and it's perfect when the trailer's not hooked up...it's going to ride like a brick without the trailer. I've had bags on multiple vehicles and love the utility.
That's not an option on paper, but reach out to Aaron and the crew there. They might? be willing to entertain that. You looking to eliminate it just to save weight?
Congrats on the trailer! Pretty sure you mean 960 AHr of battery ;) which would be 11,520 WHr. Did you get AC as well?
The space : payload ratio is, definitely, something to be aware of! I brought that up to a lot of folks while working at Expo East. You can EASILY overload one with so much...
Curious as to how you've found the hitch to be a simple swap.
I'm not a huge fan of the Maxx Coupler and was noodling the idea of trying to retrofit a DO35. But those are designed for Aussie-style tongues, not a 2x2 steel tube. The bolt pattern is too wide. The "easiest" solution I could come...
Same. We cook outside. Only thing I may do inside is boil water with the Jetboil for backpack meals if it's too miserable out, coffee or hot chocolate while hanging out inside. Having the fridge aligned with the side hatch is clutch. Especially for roadside lunch stops for sandwiches or...
I have full barn doors and run a fabric gutter to cover the small opening between the awning and camper. Zero issues. PRIOR to that gutter, the issue was, honestly, water dripping off the struts which stuck out juuuuuuuuuuust far enough that my rubber gutters didn't catch it. That was annoying...
You're really upsetting me you didn't decide to sell this about a year ago when I was looking. I'd have bought the plane ticket and had a great drive home. Really, really nice find for someone!
Just looked and didn't see it (apologies if I missed it), but get more eyeballs on this on ih8mud.com. Very clean example and very fair price. You'll want undercarriage/frame pics as well as people are going to ask for them.
Securing the doors may be a challenge, but I can imagine some sort of rings/tethers could be attached to allow for them to be tied together against any protruding load as opposed to sticking out like wings against the wind..
And the flip-up hatches will protrude over the tailgate, even if at a...
You'll have to see what's more annoying...walking a few inches to a foot wider, or duck walking in and out of your camper as the hatch will stick out forcing your head down sooner. I have swingouts, and while I had my full barndoors asymmetrically cut to allow my spare tire swing to remain...
Just use a locking hitch pin on the trailer side as well. We use a Go Aero rattle-free pin with a locking end on both the trailer and truck side. Though anyone with a cut-off wheel can get anything off pretty quickly.
I swear it’s the Thermoduct insulation sourced from Heatso but their pictures don’t have the red stitching. Either way…that’ll work. I just bought the appropriate length to cover my chimney there using zip ties to keep it in place. The main purpose for us it to keep ourselves and the dogs from...
All my wiring is in split tubing and under the rails and/or tucked behind the bed rug. Anything going to the ceiling just follow the fan wiring and it’s hidden by the headliner.

That surprises, me as we've never had an issue in our RAM...2500 PW with a big, honkin' spare hanging off the swingout and pop-up camper as well. Multiple, similar, rigs parked near us, too. And this was always in the Fall with large crowds. Given the Auto Road is privately owned, though...
