You're really upsetting me you didn't decide to sell this about a year ago when I was looking. I'd have bought the plane ticket and had a great drive home. Really, really nice find for someone!
Just looked and didn't see it (apologies if I missed it), but get more eyeballs on this on ih8mud.com. Very clean example and very fair price. You'll want undercarriage/frame pics as well as people are going to ask for them.
Securing the doors may be a challenge, but I can imagine some sort of rings/tethers could be attached to allow for them to be tied together against any protruding load as opposed to sticking out like wings against the wind..
And the flip-up hatches will protrude over the tailgate, even if at a...
You'll have to see what's more annoying...walking a few inches to a foot wider, or duck walking in and out of your camper as the hatch will stick out forcing your head down sooner. I have swingouts, and while I had my full barndoors asymmetrically cut to allow my spare tire swing to remain...
Just use a locking hitch pin on the trailer side as well. We use a Go Aero rattle-free pin with a locking end on both the trailer and truck side. Though anyone with a cut-off wheel can get anything off pretty quickly.
I swear it’s the Thermoduct insulation sourced from Heatso but their pictures don’t have the red stitching. Either way…that’ll work. I just bought the appropriate length to cover my chimney there using zip ties to keep it in place. The main purpose for us it to keep ourselves and the dogs from...
All my wiring is in split tubing and under the rails and/or tucked behind the bed rug. Anything going to the ceiling just follow the fan wiring and it’s hidden by the headliner.

That surprises, me as we've never had an issue in our RAM...2500 PW with a big, honkin' spare hanging off the swingout and pop-up camper as well. Multiple, similar, rigs parked near us, too. And this was always in the Fall with large crowds. Given the Auto Road is privately owned, though...
I do have a Manager30 in both the truck and trailer, @Chadx . Unfortunately the temp sensor is attached to the positive terminal of a battery with very little slack but the external pad thing may work. I hadn't thought of simply changing the profile to AGM (and, yes, I'm confident the batteries'...
Thanks for the awesome TED Talk on internal heaters, @Chadx ! I had no idea there were different methodologies for internal heaters. Lots of stuff to ponder as I look for solutions for cold house batteries. I have self-heating Renogy batteries in our trailer, but an issue I run into is the...
What are you using to control the charging profile for a Li battery? So you’re just running a straight wire from the alternator to both your starter battery and another to a LiFePO4? Are you relying on the battery’s BMS to charge it properly? Lithium batteries have far lower resistance resulting...
I’m running 6AWG welding wire (highly recommend as it’s far more pliable than solid core) from the battery to the front of the bed of my RAM 2500. That’s for a 30A REDARC system. 6 is, likely, fine but if your lugs will accept 4AWG, then use it for 50A. $89 for 25’ of both red and black on...
Heater solution depends on what you're willing to spend and what you're looking for. I have an OVRLND on my Power Wagon. I punched a hole in the bed (well...the installer did), and have a Webasto Air Top 2000 STC installed in a small enclosure. It's the gas-burning unit and plumbed into the fuel...
