Mercedes in the US might not be of help here. I doubt they can program the rig. The speed index of the tire is written on the tire itself, i.e. 395/85R20 J .The J would be speed index 100km/h. The truck itself would run 80mph all day once opened up.

The speed limiter is mandatory for trucks >7.5t GVWR in Europe and is programmed into the ECU. With the truck being registered as RV you can have it reprogrammed by Mercedes, depending on tire speed index. The Conti HCS have a speed index of J (100km/h / 62mph) in 365 and 395/85R20 and K...
