Ok, following up on this. I ended up making a custom rack using 'Airline Track'. It's super sturdy, permanently mounted and just did 5 weeks in Baja with no issues.
Indeed. We lost a bunch of boards when I was much younger. Came off somewhere near Catavina. Never did find them. That was the last time that ever happened.
That's what I've been thinking. Possibly using L-track? Thinking of 2 tracks mounted vertically. Could use various mounts to attach anything.
Hoping someone has already pioneered something I can borrow from.
I'm trying to come up with a good way to carry a couple of SUPs on the outside of our AF990. The roof is out as we have tons of solar and starlink up there. Inside is less than ideal as they have to come out every time we stop for lunch or.a pee.
Anyone come up with something that is easy to...
We run about 12-13k loaded. I’m running the Nitto Ridge Grappler in an F rating. Great tire and I can air ‘down’ to 30 without issues. Handles Baja washboard at 25mph with ease.

Not sure where else to post this so here goes.
Long ago I recall a service where you could text your lat/long and get back a weather forecast. Does anyone know if this still exists and if so, where can I get info on it?
If it does not exist, it should! I'd like to be able to text my location...
I have ABSOLUTELY nothing bad to say about our ‘02 7.3. It’s not an OBS but it is a great truck. CCLB 4x4 in near pristine condition. Not sure what your budget is but we paid $10k for it. Reliable, great support globally, decent MPG, and a ton of power. For the price I’d buy it again in a...
