    Introducing Rosa, FG bus build

Moved my post over to the Japanese heavy truck section. Follow along over there. Thanks for the interest

Planning out my first build, I have questions looking at a 16' Reefer Box NPR.

In the past couple years there has been a change in California law making bigger diesel trucks impossible to register after a certain year and a corresponding increase in their availability in neighboring states. Here in Nevada I see Ca trucks cheap regularly. Might be worth checking Los Angeles...

    Introducing Rosa, FG bus build

BigSkyBrad thats a great looking machine. A tilt out awning like that is definitely on the list of things to get. I just got off the phone with Trailworthy Fab. Super helpful and knowledgeable. Looks like I can get a set of 4 custom re-centered H1 beadlocks with Goodyear 37" tires shipped for...

    Introducing Rosa, FG bus build

Thanks for the replys. I should have mentioned that I plan to run singles in the rear so not worried about tires interfering with each other, but last night I did discover that the stock wheels are only 6" wide and the 315s call for 8" minimum. Michelin xzls seem impossible to find. Im pondering...

    Introducing Rosa, FG bus build

Hello! It's been a while since I've been here. Started a build thread about 8 years ago but with a new baby, job and family stuff the truck got built but the online posts didn't. Gonna try and do a bit better this time. Our subject is a 1992 Mitsubishi Rosa 4x4 camper, imported from Japan...

92 F350 7.3idi 4x4 Pop Top Utility Truck- The Woolly Mammoth

Many thanks for the interest. Made a handshake deal on the truck over the weekend. The truck is just as long as it was when stock, about 20' stem to stern, with about 18' wheelbase. Recall it weighs in around 8800 lbs, without much in it. Shes a big girl! The old idi averages 13 mpg on a typical...

92 F350 7.3idi 4x4 Pop Top Utility Truck- The Woolly Mammoth

The pop top is made of a Leer tonneau cover and the material is from a Lake Tahoe sailboat. Camper can be configured to sleep in a variety of ways. The original design intent was that 3 people could take dirt bikes anywhere in baja, dry camp for a week and sleep out of the elements. Then come...

Here are some current pics. Like I said, if you want perfection, go drop $150k on an earthroamer. If you want to rip, get this.

92 F350 7.3idi 4x4 Pop Top Utility Truck- The Woolly Mammoth

Hey thanks for the reply. I will take some pictures today that show everything just the way it is. I put a fresh coat of paint on the camper because as you noticed the original coat was peeling. The paint on this truck is nothing to get excited about tho, its rough.

Hello to everyone out there! It's time to let my beloved Ford go on to its next adventure. I've been building this truck for about 4 years and its taken my family all over CA, NV, UT and Baja. We are ready for the next project have to sell one to make way for another. The truck: -1992 F350 crew...

F-350 idi Crew Cab build--Wooly Mammoth

Made a bit of progress... Once we got back I was determined to keep that damn trans alive. After all, it cost more than the truck! I therefore wanted to keep the fluid cool at all costs so I made a mount and fan setup for the cooler. The fans are from a Ducati 1098 motorcycle that I got from...
