Following up on this as I needed new shocks with a fresh set of tires. I reached out to Boulder Off Road and the set of 4 modified 5125's were $550 + shipping. They replaced the 5100's I had installed when I lifted the van. The 5125's feel good but they're also new. I'll have to trust BOR they...
I have had the Cognito upper control arms on my van for about three years now without the limit straps. After reading this post by drsmonkey I order them but never had them installed. This is a good reminder to get this done. See this post for a good limit strap mount example.
Nice looking...
I have an Explorer conversion Express with TV, DVD, lights that pulls extra power. Last year I was having charging troubles and needed to replace the alternator. When I did that I also upgraded to an Optima Yellow Top Deep Cycle battery. It is nice to have piece of mind when running the extra...
How the ride with 3.25" lift? I got 1.75" with the F150 keys, but was afraid to crank down too much. It rides nice where it is at. Just wondering if you've noticed anything negative cranked down that much. Thanks.
Took the van out with some friends last Sunday up Maple Springs Truck Trail (Orange County, CA). Beautiful clear day and we felt like we could touch the clouds. Could see downtown LA and the local islands. The van handled great and was quite unique amongst the Jeeps and Tacomas.
My mechanic recommended a local guy who was former chevy tech. He plugged into the van's computer and was able to adjust the tire size and adjusted some other settings with his laptop. I don't know what exactly he changed or how he did it. They were both into racing cars so maybe try and find...
Bilstein 24-186643 on the front and Bilstein 24-185615 on the rear. I got the part numbers out of the GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread and confirmed it in a couple different posts. I believe they are longer than stock as they eliminate the shock extenders that come in some of the kits. Best of...
That's right! Haha...thanks for stoking the memory, it has been a year. Tried those two I linked above but didn't get enough lift. Ordered the F-150 keys and got a little more.

Thanks! Getting 13-14 MPG with the 265s. There wasn't a huge change. I did have someone update the computer settings and shift points for the new tire size and that definitely helped the feel. I imagine it helped correct some of the MPG loss as well.
There are a bunch of dual side door conversion vans with ground effects kits for sale nearby. Is stripping the ground effects a viable option? I know on G Vans that body penetrations led to rust in short order here in Michigan.
I bought a 2012 Explorer conversion van with the ground effects...
