Love my 7.3 powerstrokes and support your decision over a tremor.
As to HPOP, Injectors etc.. Being a 99+ Super Duty you already have 140cc split shot injectors and the 17 degree HPOP so power wise it'll be solid if they are in good shape. You could check your HPOP duty % to see if its falling...
My camping rig, DD and tow pig.
97 F350 CCLB 35s, 410 gears, 7.3 intercooler and minor engine things, triple disk torque converter, limited slip in the rear axle and Ruffstuff diff covers.
We were in Ouray 2 weeks before the jeep incident in the original post. Ran all the open passes in a 79 CJ7 with a full cage but there were quite a few places that had major pucker factor and I've spent years running rather difficult east coast terrain.
I was amazed at the droves of people in...
I was in the same boat as the OP's original question. I was driving a ragged out 99 F350 with a 7.3, 250k miles, rusted out rockers, bed, doors big oil leak from the valley etc... and got a job 60miles away. With a kid on the way I bought a brand new 2015 Ram 2500 CCLB with a cummins and manual...

I was just forced to update my original turbo after the inducer tried to become the exducer. I recommend checking out the RiffRaff hybrid pedestal setup (Which big shoutout...
When the Strong Box was released Behemoth Drivetrain said a divorced version would "be available soon" last year but they probably said that to all the customers that have yet to get parts too... I wonder if the ORD Magnum box could be setup divorced since they know and are willing to help...
This is some awesome tech, you always hear people wanting to do a divorced doubler but no one posts pictures. Saved for future needs but I am curious about the planetary range box you are playing with.
Saw the build in Petersons and CTC on Dirt Every Day, love to see old full sizes getting used offroad. Hope to see more pictures of it getting wheeled!
I'll join in on the outdated thread fun, 3vz isn't a bad motor at all. Yes they can blow a head gasket but there's multiple ways to fix it and prevent it in the future. I got my 94 3.0 5spd 4runner as a basket case after someone blew a head gasket and dropped a 95 motor in. Hands down the most...
