I can try to poke a lens in there later, pretty tight. I have another issue I have to look into as well where the aircon is causing throttle surging. It feels like cruise control is pushing down the gas pedal every few seconds when aircon is clutched in.
I don't know, I think it is on the front end of the same shaft the high and low idle screws are on on the backside of the carb. I could not find the front one ion the exploded carb view. It can affect low idle as well.
I did determine those two pull offs have the ability to open the choke even if the choke cable is left pulled out. I went through the book process of setting the high idle speed. If you do leave the cable pulled you will have high idle until you push it in even though the choke is opened by...
vacuum restrictor
Someone on IH8mud helped me see I was missing a vacuum restrictor on the line going to the air filter so the vacuum loss issue is solved for the choke opener.
I still have the question "is the choke normally closed cold and if so what closes it"? If it is normally open hot...
It got the manual choke cable as well as vacuum operated choke opener (lower) and vacuum operated choke breaker (above). The choker breaker has the 15 second delay green check valve.
Having both manual and vac/temp control is what makes the choke opener confusing, especially in terms of if the...
It's a 1985 stock from California. Haynes is all I've got unfortunately. It matches the body decal as far as I can follow but the body decal does not show all the interconnection, more of a logic diagram.
I don't fully understand the choke system on my stock F2.
1. My choke is always wide open even cold and I don't see what is supposed to close it except the choke cable, why then have a temp controlled choke opener? Someone told me his choke is closed cold but mine is open. My Haynes manual...
