2003 v10 excursion 4x4 and my trailer that holds my camping & cooking gear.
My excursion is all stock.
Front sway bar removed and warn locking hubs are my only upgrades so far.
I have a Dana 60 and a Ford 10.5 in my garage that I am going to rebuild with gears and lockers to swap the under...
I can see a new van going for the prices you listed.
However a used Ford econoline can be had for 5k - 15k depending on year models.
4x4 conversion can be done by you for 5k - 15k depending on equipment and, diy vs shop.
So a 4x4 van can be had for 10k - 30k+ depending how you set them up and...
When you say aftermarket support, what does that look like?
I have no experience with the suburban, however I own 2 excursions with the v10.
Both my v10 excursions get around 10mpg city and 13-16 highway.
Aftermarket support is great for suspension, bumpers, body panels. With the exception...
Truck looks nice.
What level kit are you using?
To the original poster you should be able to fit 35” tires. Some rubbing on the leaf springs on factory wheels. I know aftermarket wheels will allow no rub, but I’m unsure of what offset you would need.

No gas station.
Both are v-10 4x4 excursions
Around town they get approximately 9mpg.
However out on the highway I regularly see 15-16mpg. And that is better than my two 5.4 expeditions they replaced.
Replaced a 97 and a 03 expeditions.
My 15 passenger van gets 18-20 on the highway.

The white excursion is mine. I plan to build it up a little at a time.
The gold excursion is my wife’s.
Both are daily drivers.

The only thing that keeps the axle under control is two pressurized stabilizer shocks.
There is no track bar on this axle, it has trailing arms only.
I have...
