I used the Silverado ZR1 bump stops. They are perfect. So- question about the rear fox… did Boulder provide a bar pin solution?

yes, I have the fox and they are much, much better than the skyjackers that claim another two inches of travel. I haven’t noticed the fox topping out even when bouncing over sand moguls. If they do top out it’s very soft. I have 2.5” Key lift

yes, you don’t have to replace the shackles. I did because they include the new bushing and it’s easier to replace the shackle than to replace the bushing. However, you must replace the u-bolts. 8” is the correct length. Most people go longer for some reason not sure why. Maybe someone can...

For those interested, here is an update on the front Fox Shocks: The skyjacker shocks seemed cheap and outright dangerous with the complete lack of any damping which would cause serious front- end bouncing/ boating on big hits. I bought the skyjackers from Summit Racing so I called them and...

I installed the Moog upper and lower control arms. No strap needed. 3” lift front, 4” rear with burb springs. Fox in front, Bilstein in rear. Rides great, no loss in gas milage with the lift of course. It’s only the tires that really affect gas milage. Got 4.11 gears and still trying to find a...

The first day of ownership I went with 275/65 r18 E ... Only because the 255/70 r18 D was out of stock and I needed tires quick because the 'good guys' sent me off for a 1500-mile drive back home with a irreparable hole in one of the 'almost new' tires that they had mounted on rusty wheels...

Also- just an FYI- for those that want to maximize battery capacity- there is the custom dual, under-hood option: https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/2014-chevy-1500-awd-family-road-camp-havoc-mobile.155385/page-2#post-2105072 And an easy bolt-on (using crossnuts) OEM battery box...

The Interstate group 27 battery from Costco drops right in with just a little shaving of the plastic factory bracket. It has 28% more capacity than the stock 78. I put heavy duty top posts on. Most cables reached - the only cables that were too short were the starter and the alternator but they...

I left the skyjackers in for now- I guess I got used to the rodeo ride. But Maybe I should try to send them back on warranty or something IDK... they really suck maybe I should replace them -- they might cause an accident. I'm really not sure if the Bilsteins are any better. I havn't tried...

Anyone have any issues with the Skyjacker H7003 front shocks? I just installed and they don't seem to have enough dampening- the front of the van boats up and down on big bumps on the freeway... I'm thinking to return them and get some custom foxes... the Bilstein front shocks don't seem to have...

Just an update on this- we went with using the factory inners and upgrading the outers to Moog. Factory inners were sleeved with Rough Country '99 - '06 Silverado Sleves

I can't see any reason for the MAxxCam for my application. They only go up 2.5" and I shoulda just got the 3" key and saved money. Maybe someone here can chime in on this... With the burban springs pushing 4" I need all I can get up front...

Well, here it is... Burb springs from KC and Maxx keys maxed out. Went up 4" in rear and 3.5" up front. Rear was 1/2" higher to begin so now its 1" higher. I guess I'll have to put some bricks in the back until those springs settle out...

Skyjacker Front Shock part number is above. Not sure I am happy with the Skyjackers. They don't even have enough dampening. Front boating up and down on big bumps on freeway. The control arms are the Moog ones from Summit online . Just put in your vehicle info and it will tell you which ones...
