As the door slides forward, the connecting bar comes to a stop, and the door swings into the body. If you lengthen the connecting bar, you will need to change the stopping point for an easy door-closeing. The longer bar will provide more room between the door and tire.

Things to consider with the Chevy platform:
Do your front tires rub the body mount? The front wall of the mount can be hammered backwards (away from tire), but they need to be heated with a torch.
I don't know what wheel offset you ended up with; but anything more than +18mm (inset 18mm) will...
The system looks nice. With all the fabrication and modification, I assume it is built very stout, for the typical loads carried in a 3500?
We have a 3500 Express RV, that weighs 9500 pounds, and we are saving for a 4x4 conversion. We currently have a 3" spindle lift up front.
In the...
We are used to seeing objects lit from one direction. Most commonly from a point above the object.
In the case of this photo, the rock is lit from low-right, and the rock behind it is lit from low left. There is a lesser light coming from upper left. This probably looked very interesting, in...
Did you get a chance to drive it, and get a feel for the suspension response?
I had my OME suspension in for over a year, before installing Light Racing UCA's. It was drivable, but it always felt nervous. The camber could never be set right, without loosing the caster completely. It...
What rear axle do you have installed? Does it have the disc brakes? Mine is a semi-floating axle, & I would like to upgrade to the full-floating axle. Also; what did you do to lift the rear suspension?
And lastly: I love the look of the Hummer 2 wheels. I am currently tracking down a set of...
That is and ExPo member's van (jatorresrv). It is a SAS installed by Advanced 4WD Systems, in Salt Lake City.
It is a Roadtrek, but it is not a Quigley 4x4.
Here is the post with the video.
When we still lived in Flagstaff (1987), we had a 1979 Sub Brat. I built a tube bumper for it. Light, strong, and easy to mount. Not difficult. I like the simplicity of the Jackson Rally bumper, but I would want it to stick out far enough to stand on it.
This was a great build thread.
It could really use some good photographs of the rig.
You must have cleaned up you Photobucket albums or something. None of the pictures of your great van are showing. :(
