Will Jeep and Ram Truck Prices Take a Steep Dive Soon?

“Well, it sounded like a fun idea at the time…” 😂😂😮😖

Will Jeep and Ram Truck Prices Take a Steep Dive Soon?

Funny, every time I get an itch to get something else, I drive the Jeep and that desire disappears. 🙂

Power Wagon as a family Exploration Vehicle

What was the range on the PW, out of curiosity? And the Tremor?

Power Wagon as a family Exploration Vehicle

The ZR2 comes with both front and rear lockers. Edit: my mistake. I had half tons in my head as I’m looking at Sierra 1500’s.

Power Wagon as a family Exploration Vehicle

No, “mildly” is not the word I’d use 😂 I’ve seen videos of full-size trucks with half of their wheel hanging off of the ledge driving down BB. Nope, not for me! Gladly take my jeep down, though.

    Brass 🏀 🏀 It’s nerve-wracking enough in a midsize!

Power Wagon as a family Exploration Vehicle

Would you want a full size truck for those tight trails? It’s tight enough out here. Can’t imagine driving a HD through anything tighter. By the way, in the San Juans, big trucks do ok. Definitely have to watch some parts but Engineer, Imogene, etc, I’ve seen full-size trucks on them several...

Power Wagon as a family Exploration Vehicle

QC and electrical issues would also carry over to HD’s. But I have had good luck with the two F150’s I’ve had. No electrical issues and ran great. (Both Ecoboost). I’m not sure what type of terrain/trails you’ll be on. Never been to the Ozarks. My playground is So and central Utah, SW Colorado...

Power Wagon as a family Exploration Vehicle

You mentioned that you’ll be towing 8-10k, which is why I brought up towing. Now I’m questioning why you’re looking at HD’s. Just for the SFA? Seems a bit silly to me. Unless you’re going on a Full-size Invasion run, I’d Just get a half ton and put a nice suspension kit on it and enjoy the...

Power Wagon as a family Exploration Vehicle

I’d either get a PW or Ford SD. But if you’re going to be towing 8k lbs, that doesn’t leave a lot of payload capacity in the PW (assuming 10% tongue weight). So in that case, I’d tip the scale to the Ford, as it would have much more payload. Personally, I’d get an F250 (or 350, especially if...

Window shopping: Chevy Silverado 1500 2.7

Yes, I’m seeing $52k Custom Trail Boss advertised at $38k. Pre-pandemic pricing. Slight lift, locker, and eventually I’ll get 33’s and a bed cap. Seems like exactly what I need. Biggest question is the engine. 2.7/8-sp seems like a good combo for what I’ll use it for.

Window shopping: Chevy Silverado 1500 2.7

Just window shopping but may potentially buy a new truck this spring. I’m keen to try a Silverado since I’ve never had one. Never considered one in the past, as there were better offroad packages available from other full-size pickups. My “off road capability” needs have changed. Currently, I...

    Jeep Prices Dropping?

I used to think with globalization of parts, talent, etc, that the gap was narrowing. I think company culture and leadership matters and has major impact in the end product. This was eye opening.

    Jeep Prices Dropping?

I was thinking this was an unbelievable deal. But 2.5 star dealer rating says something’s fishy. Their website (linked in the carguru site) shows a sales price of $41k that includes various incentives that you must qualify for (ie military and lease). I’d guess 99.9% of the people won’t get near...

    DeMontbrun's 2005 Sequoia Limited 4WD Build

I actually like the looks of the 1st gen’s. Much more than 2nd gen’s and even more than the 3rd. I like the old school gold color as well. Best of luck with the build.
