It may not help or be relevant, but I had an older super duty steering knuckle u joint get stiff from not using 4wd enough. It made similar sounds and was inconsistent in making the sound. You might try locking the hubs and going for a ride to see if frequency of clunk changes.
Thinking about “my” use of vehicles.
If I’m going long distance, fuel economy is important, and I hear that the 3.0 shines there.
If payload or towing has value, I’d personally step up to something 8 lug. A long bed isn’t as handy if the payload capacity of the truck doesn’t support it. I’d...
We had a few local dealers that were refusing to take the 22+ Tundras in on trade at all. No kick in the balls lowball offers, but rather we don’t want it at all.
That was enough to discourage me.
I’ve had three Titans. Loved them all. Enjoyed an Xterra and a frontier previous to those. An old Nissan Pulsar fueled all the love I had for Nissan. What a great reliable car that was.

After your reply on FB, I drove past a radar speed sign and my speedo runs 2-3 mph fast on the factory 265/60R20. You may actually be closer to accurate than I am now.
Where did you source the steelies?
Is this for your new XD? It was my understanding that a 17” wheel on an XD can only be steel due to caliper clearance issues.
Definitely following along as it looks like a great size.
