Apex parts causing terrible Clunk on an F350 with full Carli & Redhead

I’d check the sway bar end links too if you run a sway bar.

Apex parts causing terrible Clunk on an F350 with full Carli & Redhead

It may not help or be relevant, but I had an older super duty steering knuckle u joint get stiff from not using 4wd enough. It made similar sounds and was inconsistent in making the sound. You might try locking the hubs and going for a ride to see if frequency of clunk changes.

Help me pick a new truck...

Thinking about “my” use of vehicles. If I’m going long distance, fuel economy is important, and I hear that the 3.0 shines there. If payload or towing has value, I’d personally step up to something 8 lug. A long bed isn’t as handy if the payload capacity of the truck doesn’t support it. I’d...

Would you buy a 2025 Tundra?

We had a few local dealers that were refusing to take the 22+ Tundras in on trade at all. No kick in the balls lowball offers, but rather we don’t want it at all. That was enough to discourage me.

Why No Love for the Titan?

I’ve had three Titans. Loved them all. Enjoyed an Xterra and a frontier previous to those. An old Nissan Pulsar fueled all the love I had for Nissan. What a great reliable car that was. But… No local dealers in rural America. The dealer I had 60 miles away was NOT helpful. The next closest...

Two Years Living On Two Wheels...And Counting

Bummer, but I get it. I mostly just lurk here anymore having had the same photo issues. I assume I’ll find you over on ride reports. Safe travels and thanks for posting as much as you did!

Are there dealers with models actually on lot somewhere?

Good idea….but… That won’t fit in the back of the pickup truck he likely already has. Plus he might like to tow something heavy.

    Chilliwak?

For whatever reason, I think of Chili when I see the show “Rust Valley Restorers”. They seem like a fun bunch…as did Chili. I enjoy keeping tabs on extended family using Facebook, but it’s almost useless for finding technical information.

    2021 Titan XD Pro-4X

Looking good as always. I notice the 255’s on 17’s are gone. Worn out or purposely changed for other reasons?

    GM 6.2L V8 Issues?

07-09 were the only ones that didn’t have the AFM. I’ve got an old 08 creeping up to 200k. Broken manifold bolts were a chore, but no major issues. I fully expect the transmission to go before the engine

That color goes great with dirt, and the tires look right proper. Thanks for posting!

    2021 Titan XD Pro-4X

I’m not surprised. The factory setup has rubbed the mudflaps on mine since new. I did an oil change today and ditched the mudflaps. I noticed an incredible amount of corrosion on the battery terminals. Especially for a 2023 with only 13,000 miles. I’ve been reading about issues with the smart...

    2021 Titan XD Pro-4X

After your reply on FB, I drove past a radar speed sign and my speedo runs 2-3 mph fast on the factory 265/60R20. You may actually be closer to accurate than I am now. Where did you source the steelies?

    255/85r17 Anyone running them?

Is this for your new XD? It was my understanding that a 17” wheel on an XD can only be steel due to caliper clearance issues. Definitely following along as it looks like a great size.
