Not really. He spotted me in the first section. After I passed, the van tilted, and he was in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

This summer, we were up for a challenge. San Juan Mountains in Colorado, including Ophir Pass, black Bear Pass, Poughkeepsie Gulch, Engineer Pass and some others. On the gear department, I modified the trunk to fit these boxes snugly between the bed rails and the center floor rail My...

I love the Maxx Air fan because it's quiet, and the dome can stay open during the rain. What I do not like are the controls, especially when they fail. On my previous van (Rig Runner) and on this one, whenever I try to run full speed, it shuts down and starts beeping until I pull the fuse. So I...

You are right. I should have said east NM. We passed by Cloudcroft, and it was a beautiful area. I wish we had checked the railroad.

Spent a few days in New Mexico with the North Texas Overland gang. Good times, good people. South NM is quite arid and dramatic. The northern part is more to my liking, with a more Alpine vibe. Most of the Forest Roads were closed for winter even though they didn't seem to have lots of snow. We...

Well, this little project is done. Now, it looks like the Rigrunner. I got a weird "deja vu" feeling. Pretty happy with the results. Now time to re-install the roof rack, the rear bumper, and the whole inside. No more white van. I'll miss the graphics.

Well, I wrinkled the van a little bit. It is time to fix the rust on the rocker panels, fix the dents, fix the roof rack and its wiring, and maybe new colors...

The little guy was in the shower itself. I saw him when I stepped under the water. He didn't seem to be bothered so I just showered.

    Transit Opinions Appreciated

I'm a 10+ over the limit kind of driver and I get about 10mpg no matter what. E350 4x4, 5.4, 4.56 gears and 35" tires. I wanted the Transit (modern, better use of interior space,..) but it will not be an offroad machine as my E350 is and I keep getting feedback about mileage and mine is not...

    Jaleo 2- Building a 2012 E-350 4x4-Third time is the charm

A few days in the Ouachita (OK, AR border). Great people, nice place. Used the new diesel heater and I love it. LiPoFe battery gave up, devouring all the YouTube videos on how to resuscitate it. If there is a bypass, of course, I'll take the obstacle. Stoped by Paris in the way back...

    Jaleo 2- Building a 2012 E-350 4x4-Third time is the charm

Since my daughter needed her winter clothes, her bicycle, and a bunch of other things for her new life in Boulder, I took advantage of the occasion and did a little detour on the way back through Montezuma, CO. Fresh snow onthe trails. The nights were pretty cold. The water tanks didn't...
