I have a question in this area of shifters, replacement of the small rubber boots that are attached to the shifter assemblies where they bolt to the case, I can't image that I can pull them down over the control lever which is a full inch in dia when the top hole of the boot is less than 1/2...

Help with first generation Montero shifter repair.
