    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Second update: the part came! I think the thing is that with so many shipping/delivery intermediaries, the information you get regarding your order is incomplete. Once the part hit the US and UPS picked it up, I had a tracking #. The packaging was in tatters, so I wouldn't order a Fabrege Egg...

Follow-up: "Dale" gave me a UPS tracking ID to show that the shipment had reached the US. Plugging that into the UPS tracking site confirms a valid shipping label, so I think I"m going to see how this plays out. When you cancel and Alibaba shipment/purchase, it goes into "negotiation" status...

Update on my Alibaba purchase of Compaq RV parts direct from China. I've had to request a refund at day 29 because the shipping info I have shows that the order has not shipped from China yet. The fulfillment guy "Dale" who I worked with on the order is insisting it's in the US; but the fact...

Yeah, this top part of the leg is what I needed. https://purplelineusa.com/product/stabilizer-legs-top-section-op4-op2/ There are two locking pins that come through the punched holes in the circular piece to lock the leg at a particular angle. What I learned is they are not high strength steel...

yeah, I'm just buying all new rims as I can find those easily. I'm trying to buy a new stabilizer; one of mine was damaged by road debris. I've looked at the Ark stabilizers but they are only sold in pairs and are more than three times the cost of the Compaks RV stabs (shipping included.)...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

Has anyone tried buying Compaks RV parts through Alibaba? I noticed that their products don't allow you to simply add their products to your cart. You have to interact with an "agent". I'm guessing this is because they have to quote on shipping costs as this is such a large component of the...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

I would say that if you're willing to put the time into fixing/modifying things yourself from day one, you can't really go wrong with a Dweller. A lot of time goes into figuring out how to solve what, on a Indiana-built travel trailer, would be really simple or could be procured as a service...

It appears to be made by Compaks RV. I found pics of the same rim online but all the links go to Alibaba.com and say product no longer available.

Does anyone happen to know the manufacturer and model of the rims on the D15? I had a blown tire on my trip last week and the rim got pretty ground up. I'd like to replace with the same but the only number I could find on the old one didn't get any hits online. My tires are Triangle GripX MT...

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

I have a D15 that rides about 2" lower on the campside, probably due to weight distribution of the trailer. Does anyone know if there are adjustments to the independent suspension that can be made to correct this? I have Monroe 66440 shocks and they are not adjustable from what I understand.

Mine did, mostly when temps got above 80 degrees F. Last month I both the exact model and installed it with the required 1Amp inline fuse (which wasn't installed by Obi) and have not had it go off all summer. My theory is that plastic fumes or adhesives from the manufacturing process reach...

It turns out that it just looked like a rivet. It was a screw with a rivet head but with a hex hole for an allen wrench to unscrew.

Has anyone else with a D15 found that the cover plate to the Renogy inverter's end plate is riveted to the body (on the side that is facing the Truma?) I needed to get in there to see if the breaker was tripped and found that only 4 of the 6 screws were in place; the other two were riveted...

Thanks. I was doing a battery test on some LiFePo4 batteries I installed and had a draw coming from the AC plug and the batteries went to zero WAY before I expected based on the draw showing up on the panel. I calculated the wattage on the AC circuit and converted to 12v amps to add to the...
